So, Kennon - it's totally like me to say - woo hoo - and then ask for more :)

 So, in my true form - since you've been doing such a bang up job... is it on your radar to navigate the gallery any differently? For example, if I'm on the 3rd page of the gallery, to get back there, I have to go to "all layouts" and then remember what page I was on... any chance of going from a layout view to page I was most previously on? rather than starting me over on page one of the gallery???

Ally, maybe i'm misunderstanding...but when i'm viewing a layout in the gallery, i click 'X' to close the image and then the back button on my browser...it takes me back to the same page i was on. does that not work for you??

yea... the back button works.  it just requires scrolling back to the top.

Wait! Now I know why that doesn't work!!!  I knew I had a reason for this 

Viewing - fine, I can use my back button. BUT if I COMMENT on someone's layout, then my back button just takes me back to my comment and then I have to hit the back button again to get back to the page in the gallery. I'm all about as few steps as possible (like, it's nice to have the "jump to top" thing, but that is still two clicks, when if the options were at the bottom AND the top of the page, then I don't need to click twice).

So, yeah, I just find the back button an inefficient way to navigate the gallery and I still want the forum options at the bottom of the page so I don't have to jump to the top just to get back to where I want to go... sorry to be so finicky - but doesn't that really sound more efficient???

I actually agree with this compliant, but lots of online galleries work the same way.  The way I figured out to deal with it is to right click over the image and open in a new window.

i was thinking just have a 'next layout' button at the bottom of each image viewing/commenting page. i mentioned that a long time ago.

ooh, and now we have a search so i could even go and find it! tee hee !!!
