Thanks for all the lovely comments. KathyB I made the paint splats by spraying into my maya mist bottle top and then shaking it onto the card. II read about it here http://www.studiocalico.com/forums/topic/18285. It was simplytam's idea and it was really easy and I was pleased with the results.
