• I had originally intended the white cardstock for another project. I was going to do some stamping around a central motif, but I changed my mind after the pencil lines were drawn and the first few stamps were down. I reused the cardstock for this layout, but decided not to erase the pencil lines. I like them. (The original stamping is hidden underneath the red paint along the right side!) • These are all leftover photos. I generally print photos as I go. But sometimes I end up with extra prints or photos that didn't print quite right, etc. These all go into a bag - orphan photos. I try to use as many as possible and this layout uses three of them! • The cool calendar tag is something I never would have bought it myself. It turned out to be the perfect embellishment for this page! One of the things that I love about getting a kit is that it forces me to use things I wouldn't normally buy. This is a good thing that keeps my layouts from all looking the same! • I stitched down the paper ruffles and the centers of the butterflies with a sewing machine. • The stamps are my new faves and I love overlapping them for a cool haphazard look. • The yellow butterfly shape was made by cutting out the negative left by the punch when I punched the two butterflies on the right side of the layout and then spraying the home made mask. • I typed the small sentiments and then inked the white paper to give it an aged look.
It's so fun to look at all the elements you've added. I don't think of such things very quickly, so seeing yours really inspires me. Thanks for including all the photos and the description in the comments!
