I really love the CHA Challenges, and I wanted to participate, but I didn't have a lot of time this week. So I thought it would be fun to try to combine the challenges all into a layout.
Kelly's Hearts challenge: I cut out hearts from some Making Memories paper and popped them up with foam adhesive. I also used some old Making Memories hearts brads I had.
Lisa's Whitewash a Background challenge: This was my first time trying it, and it's such a fun technique. I'll definitely try it again soon! I whitewashed the right side of the page, to put more emphasis on the journaling.
Stephanie's Use Your Stash challenge: I have so much stuff that I haven't used in a long time, so this really inspired me to pull them out. I used old Basic Grey paper, some old Making Memories brads, old American Crafts ribbon, old Basic Grey chipboard letters, old Making Memories letter stickers, and old Basic Grey border rubons (under the journaling strips).
Kimmi's Packaging challenge: I used my circle puncher to punch out the SC stickers that seal our kraft paper bags (the ones that contain our kits). Then I used the circles as a big scallop border.
Jenn's Draw on Your Layout challenge: I think this counts? I did some random doodling with a red marker behind the blue and green halfcircles, drew the date, added a line border around the red BG paper, and some dotted lines on the BG chipboard letters (so that they'd pop out more).
This is for Davinie's sketch as well. Whew! That was so much fun! Thanks for looking :)
How fun is this? Love the way you combined the doodling with the other challenges--the drawing underneath the journaling really makes it pop out! Thanks for playing along!
