You beat me before I could write anything, lol. Thanks for the compliments already.
I'm really blessed because when we moved into this house the previous owner had enclosed this garage. Our family area is connected to the kitchen and the backyard so this was just kinda extra space that I got to claim. I have the couch in there for my family so they can hang out there while I scrap. This is also the room all the junk gets piled in. The table is big enough hubby can work on his work out there and I have a little TV in the corner for my son.
I got the victorian gable off ebay. Can you believe that? It comes apart in 3 pieces so it was easy to ship. I got the oak cabinet (the one with glass doors on the top) at an auction for 200.00. It came from the general store we had here in town for years, like 50 years, called the Dixie Store. The bottom is packed with my PP in those clear vertical holders. I got the huge cream cabinet at my favorite antique store.
I got the mannequin at an auction and she is so much prettier than you can see in these pics. I display my aprons seasonally on her with old jewelry I used to collect.
Wow. Love the salvaged storage, the beautiful jars of embellishments, the overflowing basksets, the chandelier and the colors! What a wonderful space to have!
Well...handsdown, I think you win the "room everyone wants or wants to visit"!! LOL. This is truly a work of art in it's own right! Lovely, lovely space!
ok. i already commented, but i was running through the entries on the basb blog and i came to look again. so i'll say again...DANG! i love it. really looks like something out of a magazine. lucky duck!
How awesome is this room! I just want to move right in!
Ohhh my I have died and gone to heaven.... I love your gingerbread trimming over the couch... okay everything.
could I possibly just move in? I'd be real quiet and sleep on the floor... I'd bring lots of scrappy goodness and vintage loviness too. Oh please?
Anne ( gotta go antiquing with Briana... is now on my list of 1000 things to do before I die)
