Journaling reads: Although I don't do it consistantly, I still love to sew. I adore patterns, fabric, and the sense of accomplishment when I have a finished project. I think what I love most of all is that sewing makes me feel closer to my mother. She was the one who taught me how to sew, and I even use her old Kenmore sewing machine. I miss her and think about her daily. When I hold a needle and thread, I know I carry her in my heart and am so thankful for the time we had together. The fact that she spent time making sure I was well-rounded and had knowledge of an old-fashioned craft speaks to her style and character....and that she carries me in her heart, too.
