Covering the Insides of the Handbooks with PP
For those who were wondering how I did this...hope this helps, I'm not great at explaining it, "word wise", but maybe the pics will help too:)
Pics 1 and 2: How I cut up two pieces of pp for one handbook.
Pic 3: I measured the pp from the edge of the cover to just the beginning of the spine before it bends....do this with the back and the spine piece. I left the actual "bend" part of the spine naked.
Pic. 4: I drew a line at the top and the bottom of the metal bracket on the back piece of pp.
Pic. 5: The pp will slide under the metal bracket to where it's attached. I then measured from the edge of the pp about 1 1/4 inches in and drew a line from the top line to the bottom line. I then eyeballed it to draw in the line closer to the edge of the pp....this is the piece that I will cut out in order for it to slide under the D ring Bracket.
Pic 6: Cut out that piece. I had to cut the bottom piece all the way from the inner edge...makes it easier to slip around the bracket.
Pic 7: Slide the pp until it goes slightly under the bracket, gently bend the inner flap up and over the bracket and gently glide it under the bracket....adjust the pp before adhering it with adhesive. Once attached, you can barely notice where the open piece was cut.
Pic 8: Rounded the corners with the 1/4 inch corner chomper.
Pic 9: Finished!
