Watercolor Birthday

Black is one of the colors I shy away from in larger doses but I feel you need to challenge yourself every once in a while... so, this is my "experimental" card :) The black stripes where drawn with watercolors. I then die-cut a white frame from the card base where I wanted my focal point to go. I felt it needed something bold as to catch one's eye against the dark stripes and used Navy Mister Huey from the Atlantic collection to color my die-cut butterfly (watercolor paper/card stamp digital file) and layered a gold glittered wood veneer butterfly from add-on Fitzgerald on top, then stamped my sentiment (Fitzgerald) in a bold green to match the big bow.
