"My name is Jennifer Alfonso (SC username jenjeb) and I’ve been married to Jeff for 16 years. My user name is both of our nicknames combined. We have two beautiful children. Vincent is 13 years old and Olivia is 10 years old. We live in sunny San Diego. I am a full time Registered Credential School Nurse with my Masters in Nursing. I started scrapbooking in 1998 when I got married as a way to document our first year of marriage. My love for this hobby has only gotten stronger through the years. I also love to read and travel. On most weekends, we pack our car for road trips and just go."

SC Member since : 2008 and my first kit was Fountain Square.

all time favorite past kit or collection : My favorite past kit is Neverland. I love the color palette. My favorite items in that kit are the Amy Tangerine rubons and the pink ombre thickers.

what do you do when your kit comes? Honestly, the very first thing I do when I spot that little brown box on my doorstep is do a happy dance. It’s kind of funny how my SC box makes me so happy. The next thing I do is take everything out and lay it all out on my scrap table. I look at every single thing one by one and just admire all the products. Then I combine my main kit with any add-ons and put them all in a SC Crop Bag. I keep my PL kit in it’s box.

supplies: "say yes" : Cuppa Scrapbook kit, Amy Tangerine thickers, Printshop Wood veneer stars, American Crafts pen, stitching

What's your go to technique? Since I’m a full time working mom, I really don’t have a lot of time to scrap so I scraplift a lot. I go to my SC Inspiration Board and choose an inspiring layout and go from there. It saves me so much time to not reinvent the wheel. I choose a layout that inspires me with the layout design, colors, title work and more. It helps spark the creative process for me. If I post the layout to the gallery, I make sure to give credit to the person I lifted.

where do you go when your mojo is low? I am inspired by words. If I read something that moves me (quote/idea/etc), I jot it down in a notebook. I love Pinterest for this very reason and by far my biggest board is my “Word” Board. When I want to feel inspired, I read these words and immediately think of a layout I could make based on how the words moved me. Most often it is a jumpstart for a title of a layout. Once I get the title figured out, the rest of the layout easily comes to me.
