Party Time | Lilin Fang

Do you have a party coming up soon? Today I’m going to share how to use your kits to create a simple dessert table. I’m using the March scrapbook kit - Office Hours and Rolodex and Coffee Break add-ons here but you could really use any kits you like. Here’s how my dessert table looks :

Since the March kits remind me so much of spring, I came up with a dessert table for a garden tea party served with cupcakes, gem cookies, Hershey’s kisses and pink lemonade! Here’s a closer look at each one of them.

The first item I created was this banner. I cut patterned papers with my Silhouette Cameo using the banner cut file by Hello Forever. After the pieces were cut, I punched 2 holes so that I could tie them together with some ribbons. You could also add the holes in Silhouette Studio before you cut. I also made a flower using doilies and secured it with a brad and attached it to the banner.

For the cupcakes, I made a simple topper using Dear Lizzy Daydreamer sticker book that is included in the kit. I simply adhered the stickers on toothpicks and they were ready!

I cut out ½ inch circles from white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo and used the circle stamps from Rolodex to create these little labels in coordinated colors. Next, I just adhered them to the kisses and these chocolates were done!

To hold these gem cookies, I made cones with some patterned papers and doilies.

I dressed up these mason jars with twine and tags I painted with chalkboard paint and scribbled with white chalk.

Supplies : Office Hours Scrapbook Kit; Add On Kits – Coffee Break & Rolodex; Martha Stewart Chalkboard Paint; Small White Tags; 6 Inch Doilies; Essentials Wooden Clothespins – Woodgrain; Solar White Cardstock; Office Hours Cut File by Hello Forever; Silhouette Cameo; Color Theory Inks – Blush Crush, Mint Hint, Well Red, Sunny Day; Other - Twine, Paper straw, ribbon, brads
