Member Challenge | Rockermorsan

This week, our member Magdalena wants you to create a peekaboo project! Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Magdalena in the member gallery to see more of her work.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Galileo card kit, an old favorite of mine that I had previously missed out on. The little bunny is so cute, and I used it for a whole bunch of fun cards. The peekaboo window card is my favorite. I still had a piece of that wonderful wood grain cardstock, and made it my base. I punched a 2" hole in the front and glued a strip of the hello patterned paper inside the card. Then I stamped, coloured and cut out the bunny and adhered him inside the card. The bottom of the bunny lies flat, but I tucked a piece of foam adhesive under the ears. To me it looks like the bunny is jumping up and down, waving it's arm going "Hello, hello, hello, hello!" I felt the card needed a little something so I stitched on the banner in the upper left corner.

Now, my challenge for you is to do a project with a peekaboo window, and not necessarily a card. It would be such a fun feature on a pocket page card or a layout too!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Magdalena's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by July 4 to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the July 9 Layout of the Week post.

Well that was fun. I think I'll make more of these! Sorry for the horrible picture.
