LOTW | Jo

Our Layout of the Week, Ride, comes from our member Jo (username TenThousandBeside). We love Jo's adorable layout that captures a perfect summer memory. The fun, colorful hand-cut title really made her layout stand out in the gallery. To keep up with Jo and see more of her work, be sure to follow her here at SC!

Here's what Jo has to say about her layout:

I'm just beginning to delve into the world of hybrid scrapping. I was a hard core digital scrapper for 8 years, but my love of paper and getting messy with my hands eventually won out. I snapped this photo of my my daughter one morning while we were out together on a morning walk. I realized it was a recurring theme in my camera roll...her, on her bike, half dressed in a dance leotard, so I had to scrap it! I kept it pretty simple with a few layers behind the photo, and some really pretty papers for the title. I printed out digital papers on 4x6 card stock, printed a out digital alpha and rough cut around it for the letters of the title. All together it took less than an hour, and a precious summer memory is now documented.

Congratulations, Jo! More members added this project to their inspiration books for the week of 8.2 - 8.8 than any other, making it our Layout of the Week! You have won a $10 gift card to be used on any new purchase at Studio Calico.

This is gorgeous @TenThousandBeside! I too love digital pages, but enjoy touching and feeling the products with my hands, which is why I love hybrid scrapbooking so much.
