Tutorial | Art Journaling with Lisa Spangler

Hey, hey y'all! I just started a new art journal in a Field Notes notebook and I just love the smaller size of these notebooks—they are so much less intimidating. This particular book is from the "County Fair" line. I just had to have the Texas one as soon as I saw it! And then, when I realized that I'm coming up on my 20-year anniversary of moving to Texas, I just had to start a journal with 20 things I've learned in those 20 years of living here.

Join me as I share some tips on how to work with the thin graph paper and a fun stamping technique with the "I Love Texas" stamp set by Hello Forever.

Starting a new art journal is often the hardest part, but not this time! I hope you'll use this gesso technique in your notebooks. Here's a closer look at the finished page.

BIG Texas-size hugs from Austin!

This was awesome. Thanks for the tips with working with Gelatos and Neocolor crayons. Your color choices were awesome, too.
