Journaling: As joyful as the event may be, having a baby can be pretty rough on a woman's self esteem. And although its been more than a year since I've made the transition to motherhood, I'm still finding my way back to who I really am. Take, for example, this dress that I wore to Aaron and Brynn's wedding. Fun, girly, flirty, a bit daring. All things that I used to be, but now am most assuredly not. But I loved it, I bought it, and I wore it. Proudly. And even though I cut my head off in this narcissistic self-pic I took on the patio to commemorate my first dress-worthy event since David's birth, I will always remember that I was smiling. Who wouldn't, while wearing this adorable little number? As much as I adore being a mom, it's so good to feel like the old me again.
