A girl and her pony
my niece is a show jumper and I always go to her competitions to photograph her. Most of the time, the photos not terribly good, especially not when she competes indoors. The photo above was shot at ISO6000 due to the poor lighting. It’s hard getting good photos in those conditions.
But then there are the times when it’s possible to get her to stand still for a few seconds at a time, like when they’re preparing the pony for transport. I got some very wonderful photos of that on Sunday…
I love the look on her face here, so in-tune with the pony. They’ve really got a special bond.
That’s what I wanted to scrapbook! There’s been a few articles in Norway lately, reporting research showing that female leaders often report to have been involved with horses lately. It is believed that the skills such a sport requires prepares the girls for leading positions later in life, having taught them good leadership skills. I don’t doubt this at all!
I wanted to keep the title bold and dominant, but added small touches to it by using some red alphas in addition to the black ones.
The journaling is about the research I mentioned above and how much I believe this to be true.
