I started scrapbooking in 2005 after the birth of my first and only child. I wanted her to have a special baby album. I completed that shortly before her 2nd birthday.

I started out by chronologically scrapping her day to day life and events. About three years ago, I read a few books by Stacy Julian and Cathy Zielske and fell in love with their approach and philosophy. I have adapted the Library of Memories ideas into my personal system and think that my comfort zone in designing is more along the lines of the Simple approach. Words and pictures that evoke the memory - that's why I scrapbook.

A friend, Danielle, tried to get me started when I got married back in 1999, but it just didn't stick... until my daughter, Zoe, was born in 2005. That's when my passion for the hobby really took off. Just when I started to get a little time to myself to work on scrapbook pages after Zoe turned 1, we moved across country.

I am a regular day type of scrapper, I do not enjoy scrapping events, I do it, just don't enjoy it. I'd rather just pick up a picture of a regular moment and scrap the memory while it's fresh.
-2008
