Scrapbooking is my tool for self-expression and memory keeping. I strongly believe that we can all foster creativity in everyday living. Finding time for creativity helps us thrive personally and professionally. I first treated myself to a Studio Calico subscription in July 2013 because I wanted to join a community of likeminded individuals. Thank you all so much for making me feel welcome. I’m looking forward to spending National Scrapbook Day with you!

ATXmom: My name is Kathryn, and I live with my family in Austin, Texas. I've been married to my husband, Matt, for over 20 years, and we have a son, Dylan, who will turn 16 this month. I work as a reading specialist providing support for students K-5. Although I work in education, I also have a fine arts degree, and finding ways to express myself creatively while being a full-time working mom is a priority for me. When my son was a baby, I fell in love with scrapbooking and even taught classes at my local scrapbook store until it closed years ago. Finding Studio Calico opened up a whole new world of inspiration and gave me more time to enjoy creating with coordinated kits delivered to my doorstep each month. I'm happiest at home creating in my craft space; grilling out on the patio; enjoying a homebrew with my husband; watching skateboarding videos with my son; snuggling our yellow lab, George; or catching up with the latest on the Studio Calico message boards. I'm looking forward to being a host for NSD 2015 at Studio Calico and hope you will join in the fun!

cariilup: Hello everyone, my name is Cari. I'm a 27 years old freelance translator and Spanish teacher for foreigners living in Chile with my husband and my two cats who I love like if they were my sons and if you ever saw my gallery you can prove that! I started in the hobby when I was at college but I went crazy once I started working and even crazier when I started my first subscription a little longer than a year ago. I love memory keeping in a beautiful and creative way and I know I will love to watch my albums in some years from now. I also love knitting, cats, tea, pink, planners, cats and Sailor Moon -yes, cats are two times on the list!-. I'm so excited to be hosting one of the challenges for this NSD, I hope you enjoy it!

I live in sunny Arizona, but I spent most of my life in Oklahoma and Texas. I did a brief stop in Cleveland, Ohio, for 3 years before moving here. My current job is "stay-at-home" mom and wife. I have two teenagers who keep me busy. Previously, I was a university professor for 20 years (dream job!), teaching communication and public speaking, but I enjoy my current job even more than that one. I love the SC community, and days like NSD are the most fun of all!

toribissell: Hi lovelies! I'm Tori, a 25 year old city girl from Toronto, Canada. I'm the Director of Training for an abuse prevention company. I get this great opportunity to do online training and travel across Canada to do training for thousands of people who work with children, youth or vulnerable adults. While I love my job, I'm super passionate about arts and crafts. I'm a lover of everything pretty: buttons, doilies, sequins and sparkles. I love that scrapbooking and crafting lets me be me. I'm so happy I found Studio Calico and this community - I've found my scrapbooking, card making, project life, crafty home. Here I find friends, inspiration, passion and acceptance. Your love, support and encouragement means so much to me! I can regularly found with glitter in my hair, a hot glue gun in my hand and sitting in my bedroom crafting.
