Sunday Sketch | Dana Fleckenstein

This week, our layout sketch is a 12x12 layout with a vertical band of photos and papers. Our card sketch features hand-cut squares and simple sentiment, and our Project Life® sketch uses three 3x4 photos with photos and journaling. I chose to work with the sketch to Stephanie Bryan's beautiful "Do Good" layout for my card. Her "vertical band" design with the different paper squares and strategically placed embellishments spoke to me. I also wanted to use the cool horoscope stamps from Fairground card kit add-ons and to keep with the theme letterpressed a constellation image with silver ink. Apart from the square paper pieces, the elements I "lifted" from Stephanie's layout were the star layered on top of the star paper, a sentiment ticket and machine stitching.
