Sunday Sketch | Ginny Hughes

This week, our layout sketch is a 12x12 layout with lots of fun circles. Our card sketch features a diagonal background with a stamped sentiment and our Project Life® sketch uses three 3x4 journaling cards. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Creative Team member Ginny Hughes is joining us this week and sharing her take on the card sketch! Be sure to follow Ginny hereat SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our 12x12 layout sketch comes from Paige Evans' Alsace layout:

Our card sketch comes from Keisha Campbell's Happy Grandparent's Day card:

Our Project Life® sketch comes from Tracy Armstrong's Project Life®spread:

Happy Sunday! Ginny here with you today with and 8.5x11 layout based on this week's card sketch. I was really drawn to the diagonal lines from the sketch and thought it would translate really well on a larger scale. The floral transparency from the Fairground scrapbook kit was perfect for a page about my daughter picking me flowers, I will admit that I was hoarding that transparency, but I am so glad that I used it! I added the middle strip of kraft cardstock to house my title and some embellishments. This was a super fast page to put together, that is one of the reasons that I love sketches, I feel like half of the work is already done for you! I hope you will play along this week and make sure you post your project in the gallery!

Supplies: Fairground Scrapbook kit, Ferris Wheel add-on, Carousel add-on, Jupiter add-on, Saturn Add-on, White cardstock, Kraft cardstock, Precision Pen, Tiny Attacher

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by July 13th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the July 18th Layout of the Week post.

For those of you looking for Tracy's spread, it's the one titled "Fairground - PL Main Kit Only". The last one at the bottom of the scroll. The sketch is taken from the bottom 3 cards of that spread. Very cute!
Love your LO Ginny. The b&w photo stands out among all that color.

I used the LO sketch, super fun! :) (I was a little skeptical at my ability to use circles but I actually love the end product :)) http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/168887-eight
