Workspace Wednesday | Kim Stewart
I wish I could say that I had a big room dedicated to all of my artsy things and scrapbooking but I've had to make the best of a small corner of my bedroom for my work desk! It works because I purchased a book shelf from Ikea that has an attached desk. It fits just right in my space and it's white so it looks pretty and bright especially when it's clean. I should have taken a before photo because my desk is usually a disaster area and I keep stacks of layouts and little boxes of paper cuts and embellishments all over the place. I'm not the most organized and I find when I do organize and put things away I tend to forget I have them so the things that I use the most tend to stay laying around on my desk.
I pretty much keep all of my paper pads and embellishments in little wooden boxes that I got from Micheal's awhile back. They were 6.99 and I used a coupon so that made them pretty cheap. I like them too because if I ever want to scrap somewhere else I just grab all of my boxes and move them to where I feel like scrapping that day. My room only gets really good lighting during certain parts of the day so I do scrap in other rooms a lot.
On the other side of my room is a little cabinet and a few of those shelves from Michael's that I store lots of my patterned papers in.
In the future I plan on adding some shelves over my desk that I can keep all of my stamp pads and mists on. Now I have a raskog that I keep a lot of my mist, embossing powders and glitter in. I do a lot of my mixed media and painting at the kitchen table and in the kitchen so the raskog is so good for moving from place to place.
I hope you enjoyed a small peak into my little workspace! Have an awesome day!
Beautiful sapce Kim! I don't know if you remember me but I used to work at The Crop Shoppe and I remember your sweetheart of a son! He was always so polite and cute! I love seeing you all over the scraposphere. :)

Thanks for sharing, Kim! Your post helped me get a better grip on my own space. Last night, I was whining to myself that I didn't have enough room in my basement-kitchen-turned-scraproom to spread out and work. Having to move stuff all over the house to work would really suck! Thanks for telling me to suck it up (even though I know that wasn't your original intention).
I love your bright, light space, BTW. :)

So glad to have a space. We just need a little! It sounds wonderful how you've made your space work for you. Those Rascog carts are great for holding a lot, and are portable. Thanks for sharing.

what a beautiful space. I always admire all the open storage people use. It's something I just couldn't get used to because I hate dust on my supplies :)

Love that someone else scraps like I do, lol. I have a room that is about 12x14 and it's FULL. I have an EZ View Desk and a Workbox from the Original Scrapbox Company - and they are full. I like them because I can see what I have and I then use my supplies more. I also have a very tall cabinet with 2 pull out shelves and then 2 sets of metal shelves. Yup - ALL full! So - my point is - it doesn't matter how big the space is - some of us like to be surrounded with stuff we can see. I know that's what inspires me. I love your room. Thank you for sharing!

Nice workspace corner. My workspace area is also very small so it looks similar like yours ♥
Your bookshelf looks very nice. I have to work on a old dinning room table...
Your workspace is so pretty! I like it.
