Card + Envelope | Chari Moss

When creating a custom envelope to go with a card, I like to incorporate elements used from the card into the envelope design. Typically I incorporate whatever stamped images I use because it doesn't add any thickness to the envelope and it can still be mailed. But I wondered, what can you do when you don't use any stamps on a card? So I choose one of my cards that didn't have any stamping on it at all and challenged myself to keep a one layer envelope while still incorporating the elements from the card.

I die cut some adhesive masking paper using the feather die from The Underground Card Kit. I used these feathers to mask off two feathers on the front of my cards and one on the flap on the back.

I created some mists using my distress ink reinkers and a spray bottle. I used peacock feathers and seedless preserves reinkers which were the same colors I used to color the feathers on the card. I also misted over the mask with some Mister Huey's shine for some added interest.

Peel the mask away to reveal the white feather image that has been masked off underneath, and voila!
