LOTW | Desiree

Our Layout of the Week, Destination, comes from our member Desiree (username gavinsmum). Desiree's beautiful double page layout caught everyone's eye in the gallery with it's simplicity in design, beautiful photo and creative use of the cork pieces from the Galileo Scrapbook kit. I had been wanting to do a travel/destination page for Gavin for awhile. When the June Galileo kit came with the cork world map, that was the push I needed to finally get started. Along with Gavin's help, I listed all of his favorite places with the Studio Calico circle wood veneers to accent certain locations. For the right page, the cork embellishment, along with the ocean photo paired with the polaroid, was all that was needed to accompany some journaling. Both he and I were happy with the layout in the end, he even said it was his one of his favorites; success.:) I'm always so inspired by the creativity in the gallery here at Studio Calico; it means so much to have my layout chosen as LOTW, thank you!
