Product Spotlight | Wood Veneer Butterfly

This bold wood veneer butterfly in The Birds and the Bees Scrapbook Kit makes a big statement on your page. The possibilities for using this versatile product are endless! Here are four ways our Creative Team used it in their layouts.

Nancy added paint and stamped images in her Art layout. She dressed up the plain wood veneer butterflies by adding bold black and white polka dots and ribbons of color with acrylic paint. The result is a one-of-a-kind look. 

Jamie used her wood veneer butterfly and misting to create an artistic background. The silhouettes of the butterflies create a unique look on her Yes - SB Main and Stamps layout! To tie it all together, she added a few stamped butterflies on top of the negative space created by the wood veneer. 

Also achieving an artistic background, Catherine used the wood veneer butterfly as a mask and a stencil. She used a white Color Theory pigment ink to add white to the dark paper, and then used a white gel pen to outline and define the butterflies. The result is a stunning element on her Fly layout. 

Jen used the raw wood veneer butterfly as a focal point for her BFF layout and embellished on and around it. It stands out against her gorgeous mixed media background that she created using gesso and mist..
