Sunday Sketch | Marie Lottermoser
This week our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout featuring a grid design of photos, large tags, and embellishments anchored by a strip of paper at the bottom of the page. Our notebook sketch has one verticle photo on the right page with stamping above and below it and a large title with journaling and scattered embellishments on the left page. And our pocket page sketch features a 3" x 4" card with embellishment and journaling in the upper half and a photo underneath and a 4" x 6" photo with a title. Creative Team member Marie Lottermoser is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's notebook sketch! Be sure to follow Marie here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Maggie Massey's The Crew... layout:

And here's Marie's take on our notebook sketch:
Hi, everyone! It’s Marie here, sharing a Sunday Sketch project with you. I’m always looking for new inspiration for my Traveler’s Notebook, and I was instantly drawn to Maggie’s TN sketch. I loved the balance she had between her photo, journaling, and embellishments.
The first thing I noticed was the vertical stripe she had on the right which acted as a subtle divider between her pages. I stamped on a similar divider using the 6x8 Pattern Building stamp set. Then I pulled out the "Candyland" Stamp Subscription Kit and added some colorful leaves for a fun detail.
I wanted to add a bold title like the sketch, so once again I turned to the "Candyland" Stamp Subscription Kit. I stamped the base of my title in Color Theory "Blush Crush" Ink and then added an outline in "Well Red." Adding an outline in a slightly darker color really made my title pop!
Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. I used the pocket page sketch for the lower half of my layout. I turned one side upside down and the other side flipped left to right. https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/210490-you-and-me-and-dumbo

I love that scrapbook sketch! Grids are definitely not my go to, but when I give them a go I'm always happy with the outcome. https://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/210506-hello-year-one
