weekly challenge

From Celine :

Hi dear SC lovers! Today, Allison and I want to challenge you to use your favorite Studio Calico masks to create a fun and unique background, for both your layouts AND Project Life!

For my layout, I decided to work on a 8.5x11" kraft background and layered my SC mask I got in the Neverland Main kit. I simply misted some First Kiss Mr Huey on top of my mask and let it dry. Then, I outlined some designs with a pencil, and hand-colored them with more First Kiss Mr Huey and a brush, that way I could get more colorful designs than by just misting.Add some embellishments and machine stitching here and there and you're good!

(supplies - patterned paper : Studio Calico Darling Dear Flynn ; Alpha stickers : Snippets Thickers aqua; Stickers : Sundrifter 12x12 stickers ; Die-cut : Sundrifter Die Cut shapes ; Journaling Cards : Snippets Months cards ; Chipboards : Snippets Chipboard Speech Bubbles ; Stamps : Here & There Come Fly With Me Stamp Set ; Mr Huey : First Kiss.)

From Allison :

I love playing with Mister Huey's on Project Life cards to add a bit of dimension and texture to an otherwise plain card!

AWPLmaskchallenge-1
I used the Dear Lizzy die cut as a mask on 4x6 white cardstock. By spraying closer to the card you'll get more "bleeding" or run through for a messier unintentional look.

AWPLmaskchallenge-2
On this page I used the mini mask that came in the Neverland Card Kit (how cute is that mask and Mini Huey?!) directly onto the back of a PL card. This was sprayed at more of a distance for a lighter mist.

AWPLmaskchallenge-5Masks are a fun way to add a big or small impact to your background! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Supplies: Neverland Project Life Kit (journaling cards, 4x6 die-cut, stamp set, mini alpha, flags) Neverland Card Kit (mini circles mask, 6x6 pad), Lost Boys Add-On (Thickers, alpha, stamp set, vellum arrows, word stickers), Hook Add-On (alpha, stickers, washi), Tiny Attacher, StazOn Jet Black, Mister Huey's Opaque White, Mister Huey's Silver, Mister Huey's Warm Calico

We can't wait to see you get misty!! Create a project for this challenge, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Leave us a link to your project by March 18th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop.
