We asked Loredana Bucaria (username lory) to share her take on this week's sketches. Her light and bright projects caught our eye in the community gallery, and we are excited to have her here today!
And our card sketch comes from Jenn Picard's "Adventure Birthday" card :
Lory has put together not one, not two, but THREE gorgeous projects based on our sketches!
(Supplies - Valley High card kit, Jennifer, Molly & Winona add-ons, Halley's Comet add on stamps; Mister Huey's Mint, Dewey and Cameo, wood chipboard number and circle embellishment from Studio Calico)I love to use sketches because they give me the possibility to know where and how to place my photos, journaling, and embellishments. I love use them in a different way, or position , in fact for this page I have turned the sketch around - placing the photos up and the circles down. I love the circle mask from Molly add on, it allowed me to play with many little details that I really like to insert in my pages.
(Supplies - Roundabout scrapbook kit, Molly add on kit, Roundabout project life kit, Jennifer add on stamps, Studio calico Here + There die cut shapes, Studio Calico cork cameras, Studio Calico wood embellishments geotag)For this page I have used the card sketch turned in a layout! Really fun! and really perfect for the photo I have chosen:) A very simple page, where I have used little details and some PL cards as labels.
(Supplies - Valley High card kit)
The card sketch really inspired me! I stitched the ribbon and add a flower, the stamps from this kit are simply amazing, many little words to play with! The key word is always Play!!!
WOW - Thank you, Lory! You have rocked these sketches, and it was so cool to see you take on the card sketch in two very different ways. If you'd like to see more of Lory's work, check out her Studio Calico gallery and her blog.
Now it's your turn! Make a project with using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Leave us a link to your project by July 29th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop.
