Workspace Wednesday | Jennifer Picard

My scrap/stamping space is in the basement of our home where we also have our laundry and computer area. I am the first to admit that I am not a very organized person; I like to think of it as “Creative Clutter” :) So when I was asked to share my work space I thought, oh no I am going to have to really clean it up or just push everything to the side and only show all of you what was presentable (can you guess what I opted to do?).

I don’t have a fancy desk - just a foldable plastic top table - but it does the job. When I first got into paper crafting my husband put up a shelf and some Ikea Bygel rails that I could hang my ever growing punch collection on. Ikea also had in the kitchen section hanging basket that fit right on the rails and were perfect for storing ribbon, mists, some inks and washi tape in.

To the left of my table I have a wooden shelving unit that was also an Ikea find and it works perfectly to house my tower of ink as well as my Big Shot and all of my dies and embossing folders. This will also be where I will keep all of my Letterpress products and Studio Calico Dies (can’t wait!). Above it I have some of my favourite pictures of my kids just clipped up with mini clothes pins on picture frame wire.

This plastic white container use to be in my cutlery drawer but I thought it work better on my desk and I was right, lol. I use it to store my adhesive, acrylic blocks stamp scrub cleaner and of course more ink pads:) Yes I may have a problem. This works perfectly as I have everything within reach when I sit down to start stamping.

I am bound and determined to start Project Life, well my version of it any way, and I now have a little area set up that has some of  my alphas, stamps, and accessories that I like to incorporate into my scrapping.

This paper holder is where I keep my monthly kits. I like to keep them there for the full month even after I have done my Creative Team work; that way I find I am using them more. After the month is up I put what is left into my stash. On top of it I also keep more little embellishments, twine, etc and my Copic markers.

Well there you have it, a peek into my Creative space- well at least what was clean enough to you show you! ;)

    I love your space!
My space is a wall in my living room apartment. I had a folding table also but a friend was moving and she
gave me her craft table with drawers. SCORE!!!
