My name is Valerie Bishop (SC username valerieb) and I'm married to my high school sweetheart (30 years this year!) and we have three beautiful grown children. I'm from the coast of Mississippi, but we live in central Arkansas right now - I'll always be a coast girl at heart! I started scrapbooking in 2006 and I've never looked back!! I adore cutting up paper and adding little bits and pieces - my scraproom is definitely my happy place!! :) I've been getting Studio Calico kits for over 4 years now and I have loved each and every one from the very beginning up to right now!

What's your all time favorite past kit or collection? My all time favorite Studio Calico collection is Atlantic! I have so many photos of my family on the beach - our favorite vacation destination - but it's also so very versatile to use with everyday photos. The constellation vellum is my most favorite piece ever - I may have about 20 sheets of it.... And the colors are pretty too!

What do you do when your kit comes? The day I get my kit, before opening my box, I go through everythin from the last month's kit to see if there's anything I'd like to use with this month's kits and then I bag up everything that's leftover and put it away I open my new kits up and look at every single piece, getting ideas in my head and deciding what goes together and which side of each paper I want to use and making sure that side faces up. I have a clear standing paper divider that has 3 dividers, and I put the cardstock in the back spot, the patterned paper in the middle, and then all of the embellishments in the front divider. I also have a wooden tray that sits on my table where I unbag all of the little pieces (sequins, wood veneer, etc) so that I can see and grab anything as I'm scrapping. I almost always create a layout right after I've put everything away!!

What's your go to technique? Since I got my Silhouette Cameo, I almost always cut my title with it. My title goes on last, so I love that I can resize the title to fit whatever space I need. I also like to splash some Mister Huey in the corners of my layouts.
