Sunday Sketch | Genevive

This week, we asked Genevive (SC username Genevive) to share her take on our sketches. Genevive uses softer tones paired with graphic elements that has her work jumping out at us in the gallery - and we couldn't wait to see her work for this post!

Here's a look at this week's sketches - our layout sketch is based on a layout from Jen Jockisch

Our card sketch comes from Maile Belles' gallery:

Genevive saw the potential to use her Project Life kit for both of these sketches!

Supplies: Valley High Project Life Kit

The thing I love about both the layout and the card sketches is it's "free and easy" feel. That's exactly my kind of style. So relaxing and fun to make without having to make sure my lines are straight or that the elements are balanced.. making these was such a treat!

Genevive took the random, carefree route portrayed on our sketches and ran with it...the Project Life cards are sized perfectly for her layout, and we love how she layered them together for her card! Thanks so much for sharing your work with us, Gevevive!! You can see more of her work in her SC Gallery or on her blog. Genevive is also active in the Twitter community: @genrulona

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Leave  us a link to your project by October 21st  in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop.

Hehe, here is my meager layout for the Sunday Sketch! :)
I don't do scrapbook layouts often, but when I do, they have minimal embellishments & techniques. :P LOL
