LOTW I Beshka

Our Layout of the Week, Project Life 2014 Week 1, comes from our member Beshka, username bckueser. Her Project Life™ Week 1 project is stunning with the stark black and white contrast and the pop of color! Her photographs are creative and fun and we love how she included her hobby into her project as well. We are looking forward to seeing more of Beshka's beautiful Project Life ™ spreads in 2014! Here's what Beshka has to say about her project:

This year will be my third year doing Project Life and I was excited to try some of the new style page protectors. My current favorite is Design K, which I used here. I love that I can incorporate two of my favorites into all of my pages, instagram photos & 3x4 PL cards! For this spread I wanted it to be a one pager and for it to be clean & colorful. I always start with my photos, those go into pockets first, I selected five for this spread. I knew I wanted to do a "week in review" for my journaling since it was a slow week, so I created a 3x4 card using PE12 and just hit the highlights. Once printed I added the journal card and my weekly card (the one with the dates). After that I grab a handful of various filler cards and I played with those, moving them here & there until I had a configuration I liked. The final touch is a few embellishments which pretty much always includes Studio Calico printables, here I used the PrintShop printable and December labels from Hello Forever. Ta-da! :) I love the Studio Calico gallery, it is so full of inspiration..it is truly an honor to be featured!
