Member Spotlight | Beshka Kueser

Hello, my name is Beshka Kueser (username bckueser). I was born & raised in Texas, but currently reside with my family in Wiesbaden, Germany. My little fam consists of my hubs Chad, my daughter Riley who just turned 13 on the fourth (we have a teen!), and my baby boy Logan who is actually 11 and not a baby according to him. We have differing opinions on that! As a girl I loved paper and office supplies and I would spend all my money from babysitting on stationary, pens, and markers, so it seems a natural progression that I should love papercrafting today!! I have been crafting on and off for years but currently my big love is creating Project Life spreads. I discovered Project Life in 2012 and quickly found myself hooked! I truly love this means of documenting our lives.

What do you do when your kit comes? I open that baby right up!! Since I always have a PL spread going I will look for bits that I can use right then and there while I am going through all my new goodies! After that my kits hang around my workspace for a week or so & then I merge them in with my other supplies.

What's your go to technique? I don't know if it's a technique, but color. Color is my friend. I like to find a few colors that complement my photos and work within that scheme.

Where do you go when your mojo is low? The internet like most, but also magazines and movies. I like to turn to magazines for color & pattern inspiration and sometimes even page design inspo. Movies inspire me mostly with their witty banter. When characters say things like, “Snorts and giggles are the raisins in my oatmeal” or “I like your moxie sassafras!”, I suddenly find myself wanting to create PL cards that say that and usually that will trigger other ideas.
