Meet Addison

Last week, as part of our 7th anniversary celebration, we shared an oh so sweet printable by Shanna Noel's daugther, Addison. All of our existing members, as well as new members who signed up for a Studio Calico account and filled out the survey on their dashboard last weekend will now find this printable under their "My Digital Files" - but we wanted to share a bit more about the artist behind this print!

Addison is a seven year old little girl who lives in Northern California with a family who just adores her! She loves riding her bike, playing with her puppy Lucy and anything that sparkles!

What inspires you?

"humm... well I just sort of listen to what my heart tells my head to do"

What do you love most about creating?

"I love that there are no rules and you really can do whatever you want"

How long have you been an artist?

"well I am 7 so 7 years... that is a silly question!"

What mediums do you like to create with?

"I really love staplers, scissors, markers, washi tape and stamps"

Where is your favorite place to create?

"I love the craft room but sometimes I like to put my journal in my basket (on my bike), take a ride and just take a break to draw what I see"

What inspired you to create the ice cream cone?

"Well it was my Aunt's birthday so I just thought she needed something fun!"

What do you hope to create in the future?

I want to make BIG art, like HUGE... do you think we can make that happen?
