Studio Calico Kit Packaging

Will all kits come in this revamped packaging, or is it just the PL kits at present?

I think it looks great, can't wait to receive mine in this new design.

It looks nice but I am sooooooo sad. Can't see this standing up to international shipping at all...... I adore the strength and reusability of the current boxes. Feel this will be a mistake - but I hope & PRAY I'm proven wrong. :(

I agree, not sure how this will stand up to international shipping but I am happy to be wrong here. Will kind of miss the other boxes though...

I thought I didnt have an opinion. Turns out I do. I guess I'll be the naysayer here. So studio calico uses its resources to change its box style because of a few complaints about the potentially environmentally unfriendly prior packaging design? The new packaging not holding up may cause people to buy more plastic boxes. How many of the original, sturdier boxes remain at the warehouse? Will SC at least release those for sale so those of us who want to stock up can do so? It seems like a waste either way. The older boxes are much sturdier & durable. These newer boxes, while recyclable, will not be as sturdy or long lasting. I do like the color of the box and elastic slip around closure. So knowing my voice of dissent won't change this rolling out, I regard this as already bittersweet.

I think it's great! As a society we have miss used and abused this earth enough, so I am proud to see SC do this. SC you have done an awesome job! Thanks!

I'm in Australia and me and a bunch of friends adore the current packaging and reuse them to store other goodies so needless to say I'm very disappointed to see the packaging change :(

Considering I already have a years worth of those boxes, I am very excited to check out new box model. I love the idea that u can reuse or recycle, great work SC!!!

I agree with Bellaa75 : I liked the previous box because it was reusable to store other goodies. It was sturdy so it was possible to put one on another without "crushing" the goodies. I liked also the magnetic closure. The new box seems less sturdy but I understand that it is lighter, cheaper, recyclable and I think then that there are more advantages for StudioCalico than for customers. Maybe I will change my mind when I receive it ... :-)

Love this new packaging! As much as I love the current one I have accumulate way too much and in a small condo there simply is no space to store them.

So this August kit we will be getting PL kits in the new packing? @gluestickgirl

Excited to see the new packaging. I have 12 PL boxes that I can't bear to part with and I am so glad I don't have to store any more of them, LOL.

I'm a little nervous.... I'm all for less packaging and MORE product but stuff already comes to me damaged in the sturdier box. Hope this doesn't make it worst....

I really like the previous box it's more study and its reusable the new one I don't like the new one it looks flimsy and not sturdy at all I like the previous box because I can store other things in it and the magnetic closure is a plus, I really hope they keep the previous box.

I'm with you @sunshine45. I prefer the previous PL box, is reusable and pretty. You can make a lot of thing with this box, like a little jewelry box, a pretty present box, store little craft things as other stuff as well.

I agree, ladies. I have repurposed my PL boxes by painting them and using them to store 4x6 photos and loose embellishments. That magnetic closure is a BIG plus! I don't know if this will be the same :(

The new packaging looks so pretty! My old style boxes were piling up, so this is a welcome change for me! Can't wait to get it!
