Sunday Sketch | Leena

This week, our layout sketch is an 8.5x11 layout with lots of patterned paper details. Our card sketch features two large circle elements, and our Project Life sketch makes space for an Instax style photo and a label for journaling. Creative Team member, Leena Loh, is joining us this week & sharing her take on our Project Life sketch. Be sure to follow Leena here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

First, let's look at this week's sketches - our 8.5x11 layout sketch comes from Becky Novacek's Here & Now layout:

Our card sketch comes from Chari Moss' Red Doily Hi card:

And our Project Life sketch comes from Geralyn Sy's Hong Kong spread:

Here's Leena's take on our Project Life sketch:

I took on this PL sketch and worked on my Week 26 PL spread using the Penny Arcade Project Life kit and the add-ons. I spent a good five days on a company trip to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam this week, so I had lots of photos taken. I used the sketch to highlight one of the photos I've taken when I visited their famous Ben Thanh Market and included a quick overview journaling on what I did in Ho Chi Minh City. I love this Penny Arcade PL kit and add-ons as they included some traveling elements which were perfect for my trip photos!

Supplies: Kits - Penny Arcade Project Life Kit, High Striker Add-on, Bottle Toss Add-on

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the August 9th Layout of the Week post.
