Sunday Sketch | Aga

This week, our layout sketch is a two page 8.5x11 layout with three 4x6 photos and a large title. Our card sketch features a banner and sentiment on a strip and our Project Life sketch uses a 3x4 photo and centered label for journaling. Creative Team member, Agnieszka Malyszek, is joining us this week & sharing her take on our card sketch. Be sure to follow Aga here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

First, let's look at this week's sketches - our two page 8.5x11 sketch comes from Maggie Massey's imax 3D layout:

Our card sketch comes from Jenn Picard's Congratulations card:

And our Project Life sketch comes from Tina Aszmus' Mid July spread:

And here's Aga's take on our card sketch:

For my card I decided to use the card sketch as I love Jennifer’s card and how she stacked the different patterned papers! This is something I’m not very good at so I’ve challenged myself to create a card that has more than three layers but is also CAS at the same time. I used the sketch almost literally but went for a slightly bigger scale of my layers.

Supplies: Kit - Underground Card Kit (patterned paper); Digital Stamp - Underground Scrapbook Kit Stamps; Cardstock - More Solar White; Mister Huey's Watercolour Set

Now it's your turn! Make a project using one of this week's sketches as a starting point, then share it in the Studio Calico gallery. Use the hashtag #SCsketch to make it easier for other members to find! Leave us a link to your project by October 20th in the comments here to be entered to win a $5 GC to the Studio Calico Shop. This week's sketch winner will be announced in the October 25th Layout of the Week post.
