Weekly Challenge | Go Geometric with Tara

Tags:

This week, our member Tara (username TaraElias), is challenging you to use a geometric shape on your next project. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Tara here at SC and visit her blog to see more of her work and keep up with her!

I created this layout for the October LOAW Challenge #1, to use up multiple patterned papers. For this Weekly Challenge, I further challenge you to use a geometric shape on your layout. I know this was quite the trend awhile back, but it was one I always had trouble with. Squares are of course, a little bit easier than say, a hexagon, but I like to start small :) I want to see you use geometric shapes on your layout, whether it be with one piece of patterned paper or many. You can do squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, hexagons, the list is endless. Bonus points if you break out your sewing machine as a means of adhering these shapes.

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Tara's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by October 20th and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the October 25th Layout of the Week post.
