Weekly Challenge | Add Dimension with Emma

Tags:

This week, our member Emma (username emma_kw), is challenging you to add dimension with paper on your next project. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Emma here at SC and her blog to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Hi there! I'm super excited to be asked to host this weeks challenge :) This week, I'd love for you to add dimension to your layouts using paper! We get so many amazing goodies in our kits each month that add dimension but I'd love to see the creative ways you can use paper to do this instead. This layout came together after finding an older layout by @gluestickgirl and loving how she used the tags on the side of the photo. I went with horizontal strips at the bottom of the photo and just looped some of my favourite papers to make tags - I had clothing tags in mind when doing it (I'm not exactly sure why, ha!)...but I made the first line and decided I liked it. Was a great way of using up all those random bits of little paper I have lying around too. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you create!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Emma's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by December 9th and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the December 13th Layout of the Week post.
