Video | Bright Color Combos on a Scrapbook Layout with Céline Navarro

Hi! This is Céline Navarro for Studio Calico! Coming up with a design is never easy, especially if you're overwhelmed with pretty supplies and don't know where to start. In this new video, I'll show you how to choose a bright color combo for your next layout. So, gather your favorite items from your Far Far Away kits and let me guide you through this step-by-step video.

What I often do when I get started on a layout is gather supplies from the kits that I like, create my own color combo and start from there. I have to admit that these are colors I'm not used to playing with, but I couldn't resist those patterned papers, and mixing them with the vellum paper brings some interesting patterns and texture.

Anyway, I started with a four-colors color combo and ended up with a SIX-colors combo : blue/white/red/gold/yellow/green. And guess what? I really like my layout!

Of course, playing with a black and white pictures makes it easier to use when you don't know which products you're going to use, but I'm sure that a full-color photo would look cool as well!

Now I want the pineapple digital version. Even though I love to eat them, I honestly didn't know what I would use it for. I love how you combine the pic and pineapple embellishment that has nothing to do with each other ~ and pull it off so pretty! I'm so literal in my thinking (pineapple has to be a layout about me eating pineapple) that this inspires me to think a little differently/artistically. Thank you, Celine for a lightbulb/inspiration moment!
