Give Love & Spread Love with Studio Calico

Why wait for Friday to have fun crafting? We wanted to bring some additional artsy cheer to the workweek, and what better way to do it than with a fun mini contest and an awesome deal. We'd love to help you document the everyday, the ordinary, and the extraordinary. With our kits, recording your memories and sharing your stories with those you love has never been easier.

Create projects that show your love for your family, yourself, friends, or anyone special (including pets, of course), and share your projects using the hashtag #SCspreadthelove on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or in our Member Gallery. One lucky subscriber will be randomly selected to win ONE Cirque kit of their choice!

It's the little things we'll want to remember for years to come. Like baby's first smile, or a long-awaited trip, or even a favorite food. Lilin Fang's photo above is a sweet peek into a family memory. Documenting can take so many forms, too. Write special love letters to your kids like Paige Evans did below, then compile them in a mini album.

Create a card for a faraway friend. Make a layout with encouraging notes to yourself. Give the love and share the love - that's what we're all about!

Do you have a greatest moment in the history of moments like Tracy Armstrong shows in the above photo? If you love it, share it. We'd love to see! We'll announce the winner of the Cirque kit here on the blog on February 27, so remember to check back in to see if you've won.

Thinking about subscribing? Now is definitely a great time! Use the codes below at checkout to save 50% off your first month when you start a new subscription now.

*Expires 2/26/15 at 11:59 pm EST. 50% discount will be applied to the first kit only, all subsequent kits will be full subscriber rate. Valid only on new subscriptions with Cirque kit and requires a 6-month commitment. Add the Cirque kit to your cart and the corresponding promo code at checkout. Early subscription cancellations are subject to termination fee. Not valid on previous purchases. Must enter promo code at checkout. Refunds will not be issued for misused or non-entered codes. Photos shared on social media must be set to public and shared using the #SCspreadthelove hashtag to be considered for the prize.

I used pink, hearts, and documented my love for family - including one thing I love about each of them. I also included my love for morning coffee, dangling earrings, and right now.

You're very welcome, Tess. I was so grateful to the people who shared with me because, like you, that information totally changed how I looked at Project Life. I went from "oh, let's print pictures and make it look cute" and struggling with it feeling not great to taking a more casual approach but making the stuff I did put in there the things that I wanted to remember and taking more time to journal, etc.

If I have a great photo, I now turn it into a 12x12 page and play with it. This means I get far less bogged down and burnt out trying to force it into PL like I used to. It's also given me the opportunity to really spread my wings and get much better at the 12x12s! I'm planning to include a few in my book since I know I'll get some doggy glamour shots that will be perfect for it. I also like to vary sizes for interest and drop them all in the same album so the 12x12s (or 4x12s or whatever I'm using) breaks it up in a fun way.
