Specialty Paper is Here to Stay!

As you may know, we do our best to bring you products you can be excited about using every month - products like artist exclusive roller stamps or unique add-ons you won't find anywhere else. We've been listening to your feedback, and we're very excited to let you know that starting with the March kits, we'll be including a specialty paper in each main Scrapbook kit! For the upcoming Odyssey kits, we're including the gold-foil printed transparency sheet you see below.

Each month we'll mix it up, providing new designs for you to create with, such as printed vellum, scratch-off paper (like you saw in the Park Ave. kits), and more!

Our designers have been hard at work creating amazing papers that we can't wait to share with you in the coming months. With the addition of this specialty paper, our Scrapbook kits will now include 6 sheets of patterned paper, a specialty sheet, and of course, a bunch of awesome embellishments you have come to know and expect.

We hope that these new papers will bring more versatility and creativity into your craft rooms and projects. They'll be a nice surprise to look forward to with each kit's release, as each will be completely unique! You might find you're hoarding these even more than your other favorite kit components ;)

We're elated to be able to make room in the kits for some of the other items we've heard you asking for, along with new items and products designed especially for you by our team. Of course, the digital versions of the six patterned papers and journaling cards will continue to be released each month concurrent with Reveals.

If you have any questions or comments, let us know! We're here to listen!

These will only be in the Main Kit & not the More Patterned Paper?

Just curious, what about the PL kit. They don't really come with paper. Will we be getting something similar in our kits? I really like that vellum and hoping for something in my PL kit. :o)

@buggin2stamp, that is a great question! For now, this change will be implemented with the Scrapbook kits going forward, but we're taking all feedback into consideration and are thankful for it!

This is great, looking forward to the papers!! I just have a question, it says there will be 6 patterned papers and 1 specialty paper - is this the minimum number of papers or the standard? Will there still be card stock?

Thanks I did follow her tutorial twice but both times found it confusing (it is great but I follow video much better and it wasn't covering the few questions I did have) thanks for the suggestion though :)

So the kits now come with 7 sheets of paper instead of the 9 that was in the current kit? Is that right?

Is there going to be an option for specialty paper packages separate from the kits? I love this!

I think the project life kits should stay the way they are. Staying true to Becky Higgins original idea. I really enjoy the project life kits and the different variety of cards that are in the kits and the embellishments. If you have specialty papers in the PL kits then of corse that will mean that something will have to get taken out in order for SC to keep the prices the same. Change is good don't get me wrong, but how far do we go with change before compromising quality?

@felicia I don't see anything wrong with including a 4x6 sheet of the specialty paper in the PL kit. It can be used in a PL layout as a 4x6 card. There are other specialty items that size in the kits. and I know a lot of PL scrappers use those items in there PL pages. Plus, not everyone wants to be restricted by BH original concept. We are creative beings and we should try to nurture that creativity, not restrict it.
