Our Layout of the Week, 4-Ever, comes from our member Kathleen (username ScatteredConfetti). Kathleen's beautiful layout caught everyone's eye in the member gallery with its beautiful paper border, wood veneer title and pretty photo. "This layout started with the photograph and the story I wanted to tell with it about getting my first tattoo. I wanted to put the main focus on these two aspects. Shortly before making this layout I became a bit obsessed with sewing on my pages and with mixing all kinds of patterned papers. To make sure that the photo was the center of attention, I thought why not give it a frame? So after cutting strips of patterned papers (all from the WRMK "Love Notes" collection) of various sizes, I sewed them down with different kinds of stitches. I made sure to make the frame a bit "wonky" to add some interest to it! For the title I used some wood veneer alphas from a past Studio Calico kit which were just perfect for this layout!! I'm quite happy with how it turned out and I'm also very excited that it was chosen as the Layout of the Week!
