Weekly Challenge | Negative Space with Marivi

This week, our member Marivi (username Marivi), is challenging you to leave some negative space on your project to help your papers and photos pop off of the page. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Marivi here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Hello!

In this layout, I used in the majority, the beautiful Cirque Scrapbook Kit.The photo in black and white has been the basis for choosing the colors of the papers, just a little pink, gold, black and gray, and very few frills. For composition I like leaving negative space to the right and all the action on the left side. The velum paper under the picture, I've moved to the left to highlight the photo. The challenge is for you to leave some negative space on your project. Thank you very much for my Studio Calico is a pleasure to be here, launching this challenge!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Marivi's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by March 16th and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the March 21st Layout of the Week post.
