Our Layout of the Week, LLP Details Mini, comes from our member Colleen (username thecolster). Colleen's gorgeous mini album, inspired by Tina Aszmus' Mini Album Workshop, caught everyone's eye in the member gallery with its unique layers, interesting stamping and awesome details! I have been having so much fun with Tina’s mini album class! I have made so many mini-albums over the years, but generally for one of the kiddos or as a present for someone, never myself. This one has had no rules or end date, it’s been relaxing and fun to have an excuse to try some new things, and some I would never have thought of! Doing a gold on gold page dedicated to the song “Uptown Funk” was pretty much a blast. It has been so motivating and I’ve been having a hard time pulling myself away from this little book, although the kids’ spring break took care of that pretty quick. ;) Tina is always such an inspiration, and it’s hard not to just copy & paste everything she does, and I did draw A LOT of ideas from her examples and prompts. These were just the first handful of pages & prompts I did; my book is getting pretty full now! I definitely want to do more books like this - even the 6x4 size has felt like such a breath of fresh air. Thanks Tina for the awesome class! Do another soon!! And thank you Studio Calico for choosing my project for LOTW! So fun!
