July Planner Kit in Action

Happy (almost) Fourth of July! July's Planner kit is going to be a great resource for staying organized (and having fun while you're at it)! We asked our resident planner guru, Cathy Vongnaraj, to take the July kit for a spin in her planner so you could see what it looks like in action!

July's Planner kit is filled with items you'll be able to use day after day to make it easy to stay organized. You'll see some familiar items like stamps designed to work seamlessly in any size planner along with items like stickers and a binder clip that are both functional and pretty so planning never gets boring. One thing we really like about the Washi tape from this kit is that you can tear it off and use it piece by piece, or you can fussy-cut around the shapes to make your own sticky labels and reminders. See the arrows that say URGENT and TO DO in the photo below? They're Washi tape!

Here's a closer look at some of the kit components. It's ok to start planning how you're going to use them right now ;). That tiny TV stamp is adorable!

There are various shapes of little sticky notes you can add here and there to draw attention to a note or event too, and the gold binder clip make an awesome placeholder. The stamp set included has an option for all your daily routines - so you can document where you had lunch, what you've been reading, and all sorts of fun bits from daily life. It's actually great for pocket-based documenting projects as well. Oh, and you can even stamp your own banners wherever you want while doing your planning, like Cathy did in the photo below (one example: the top, right hand corner, where she stamped her lunch plans using the banner stamp).

As you can see, Cathy stamped over one of the little sticky notes from this kit. So cute! The alphas are actually not included with this kit, but many of the small alpha stickers included in past or present kits will work great. Don't be afraid to mix it up and use embellishments from any Studio Calico kit in your planner!

We've made plenty of places for you to add personal journaling and such while you're planning. Using colorful stamps allows you to color-coordinate tasks and events when you're stamping too.

Other goodies in this kit, like the small circle vellum icon stickers, are a fun, easy way to list an event or separate one page from another, and there are options for everything from documenting your favorite coffee drink to the latest movie you saw. They're a wonderful way to plan without adding too much to the page at a time. Quick and carefree!
