Sunday Sketch | Kelly Noel

This week, our layout sketch is an 8.5x11 layout with two stacked photos and a layered tag. Our card sketch features a collage of squares and a centered sentiment, and our Project Life® sketch uses two 4x6 pockets with photos and journaling. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Creative Team member Kelly Noel is joining us this week and sharing her take on the scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Kelly here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our layout sketch comes from Marcy Penner's Summer Time layout:

Our card sketch comes from Dana Fleckenstein's Hey Girl card:

Our Project Life® sketch comes from Celine Navarro's spread:

I loved Marcy's layout and knew I wanted to use it to inspire my layout. I was inspired by Marcy's layering and used some layers of patterned papers behind my photos. I also loved how her design was centered on the page, so I kept my design straight down the middle for a similar look. Working with sketches is a great way to get a page done fast, which is great when you're short on time!

Supplies: Kits - Fairground Scrapbook Kit, Ferris Wheel Add-on, Carousel Add-on

I loved the scrapbook sketch and made 2 layouts with the sketch as inspiration. The first is a very literal take using an old photo of my daughter.

Here is my second take - it is way less literal; I turned the sketch and pulled the layers across the strip that runs across the layout.
