This week, our member Cristina (CristinaC), wants you to use hand-cut letters in your layouts! In her layout below, she used elements from four different Studio Calico kits, including Stephanie's Mini Book Kit, the Hockney embellishment kit, Pop Art Scrapbook kit and Pop Art Card kit. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Cristina to see more of her work and keep up with her.

For this challenge, I want you to include some hand-cut letters! Bonus points if you use different patterned papers for your letters.
Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Cristina's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by September 14th to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the September 18th Layout of the Week post.

I actually cut out numbers instead of letters, but I had just finished a layout for the September LOAW Challenge when this challenge was posted, and I cut letters for that one! http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/173635-10-out-of-10

I LOVE hand cutting my alphas. I needed a bday card for a friend, so I used this technique on her card! :) http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/173681-happy-birthday-scchallenge

I prefer die-cutting, but I forged ahead and made a card:
