Tutorial: Using the Elliot Collection with Kelly Noel

I love the new SevenPaper Elliot collection! It's bright and bold with a touch of fall. Of course, here in Florida, we don't get much of a fall at all, so I love that Elliot has so many versatile pieces. I fell in love with the vellum numbers instantly and knew I wanted to use them in a big way on my layout.

To start, I printed a 4x6" photo of Sawyer, my littlest. He's 2 1/2 right now and it's such a fun age! I wanted to document some of the fun things about him right now using the big vellum numbers.

I arranged the numbers on the background paper - a grid paper is perfect when you're lining the numbers up. It makes it easy to get everything super straight. To avoid worrying about seeing adhesive through the back of the vellum, I used a stapler to attach each of the numbers to the page.

I used the epoxy alphabet and tiny stickers alphabet to create a title for my layout. I love mixing up different alphas for my titles. And again, the grid background makes placing these letters straight so much easier!

I cut a white mat for my photo, adhered the photo to it and then used foam adhesive to adhere the photo to the layout for some added dimension.

For the journaling, I typed out 9 things about Sawyer right now to correspond with each of the vellum numbers. I printed them out onto white cardstock and then cut each one into strips.

To finish things off, I cut a little notch in each of the strips to mimic a banner shape and then adhered each of the things about Sawyer onto the vellum numbers.

I love the way the vellum numbers make a big impact for my layout and this came together really quickly and easily!
