Weekly Challenge | CristinaC

This week, our member Cristina (CristinaC), wants you to create a project with a bold title. In her layout below, she used elements from the Brimfield Scrapbook kit. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Cristina to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Hello! It's Cristina here and I am happy to be back on the blog with a new challenge. When I was making this page about last year's trip to the pumpkin patch, I realized pumpkin embellishments would be the perfect addition. So I made my own using a pumpkin stamp from the Antiquary card kit that I stamped on patterned paper and cut out with scissors. So my challenge for you this week is to fussy cut (=using your scissors or exacto knife) a stamped image and use it on your project. I can't wait to see what you create!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Cristina's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by October 19th to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the October 24th Layout of the Week post.

Sorry, just to be clear, is the challenge to do a BOLD TITLE, or FUSSY CUT some stamped images? :)

Either way, Christina, you know how I feel about this page already! :) Great use of that paper, and I do love those pumpkins!

I'm going to jump on out here and say I'm fairly sure it's fussy cut a stamped image. Last week was a bold title, so there was probably some copy/paste going on.

And I love seeing Cristina's work featured. Her style always speaks to me!

Wouldn't it be fun if the challenge were, "Go to a pumpkin patch and have YOUR OWN PHOTO taken?" How many of us have a picture of ourselves in a pumpkin patch?

@cmsplitt @penny yup, the challenge is to fussy cut stamped images (sorry ladies, I only wrote the part in italic). @penny is right, it looks like the bold title part was leftover from last week.

@penny - that would be FUN!! I actually went yesterday to pick up this year's pumpkins so you'll be seeing more pumpkin patch layouts from me in the near future. ;)

For this challenge I stamped several tags from Kelly Purkey's destination stamp set in various coordinating colors, typed my journaling then fussy cut them and adhered with brads to my layout.
