Weekly Challenge | dctuckwell

This week, our member Diana (dctuckwell), wants you to create a project based around a humourous photo. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Dianato see more of her work and keep up with her.

Hey everyone, Diana here and I'm excited to bring you this weeks challenge! My son is always doing the craziest and silliest things, and when I took this picture of him I knew I had to get this story down! I really wanted to use that fabulous acetate alpha from the Wink Wink kits and loved the way the word 'underwears' fit over the photo. I knew I wanted to create a grid with all of the bright papers to match his bright colored underwear, and I just love a paper pieced background. I also knew I had to use the "That's how I roll" piece from the cut apart paper in the kit- because this is TOTALLY how he rolls. My challenge for you to is to use a photo of a child or loved ones humorous/silly antics. These funny things really speak to a persons personality and are great stories to tell! I can't wait to see what you create!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Diana's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by November 16th to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the November 21s Layout of the Week post.

@dctuckwell thank you for the opportunity to use these "loud" letters and paper.

I agree with Celise! This challenge was the perfect chance to get my Wink Wink kit out of the bag: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/178294-a-tale-of-4-frogs
