Weekly Challenge | AndieLiBrandi

This week, our member Andie (AndieLiBrandi), wants you to create a project using a stamp to tell your story. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Andie to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Hello there! I'm happy to be bringing you some inspiration again this week, along with a challenge! Here we go! My son told me about a dream he had and it was so cute that I had to document it right away, instead of waiting for another time when I may or may not remember it as well as he told it to me. It just so happened that his dream was about riding elephants with his Grandma, and I had the perfect stamp to help tell my story! Yes...I love when that happens! So very simply, my challenge to you is to use a stamp(s) to help tell your story. As an idea, you can use a stamp as a visual element in the background, such as I chose to do, or you could even replace words in your written story with icon or phrase stamps. It's a great way to put your stamps to work for you. I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Andie's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by January 4th to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the January 9th Layout of the Week post.

That is so sweet. Nice to know he has a good relationship with his grandmother. My stamps are in desperate need of a workout. Thanks for this challenge.

I used my Kelly Purkey "Joy" stamp as a visual element in my layout and as the theme of my journaling. It's my word for the year, and it's great that I have so many holiday products I can use! http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/181201-bring-it-2016

Cute page and fun challenge! Here is mine: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/181215-happy
I used the half circle from the main scrapbook kit to create a little stage for the mouse - reminding me of stages from the dance recital that my page is about. Also, I used the little "&" stamp to create a look of balloons on strings as you often see balloons given to dancers and as a festive feel like the recital. : )
